Copie privée

Copie privée

55 organizations launched a joint operation targeting the general public the better to make known the private copy system. The purpose of this joint approach is to highlight the role of a system that remains poorly known to the general public, despite its essential contribution to the preservation of our country's cultural diversity and artistic vitality (and that of the European countries that have adopted it) by ensuring the remuneration of creators (to whom 75% of the sums collected are paid directly) and helping nearly 5,000 cultural events in France.

Together, they wish to defend a system that has proved its worth and has adapted to technological evolution, but that equipment manufacturers are constantly threatening for purely commercial ends.

The members of the “Culture with private copy” Board are: ADAMI, ADAGP, ARP, PROCIREP, SACD, SACEM, SAIF, SCAM, SOFIA, SPEDIDAM, SPPF, UNAF.
