In 1996, Florence Arpin decided to move from the Paris suburbs, where she was born, to London. She created in 1998 the record label Train Wreck Records (UK) and immersed herself in Blues, Country, Folk and World scenes. From 2001 to 2003, Florence presented a weekly radio program called Alternative Routes on Aligre FM, one of the last independent radio on Paris FM broadcasting. In 2007 she created, using the generic name Junction 2 Music, a booking agency : J2M Agency, a PR agency: J2M PR and set up a live promotions side: J2M Live. Since it was created, Junction 2 Music worked on developping the career of many artists such as Otis Taylor (USA), Mama Rosin (Switzerland), Bassekou Kouyaté & Ngomi Ba (Mali) and Fanfare Ciocarlia (Romania) in the UK. Florence Arpin also curate and produce original and unique concerts such as Recapturing The Banjo, Balkan Brass Battle and Sahara Soul.
