A combination of political cynicism and summery light-heartedness is Yalta Club's brand. Radiant ? Yes, but they are also whimsical and phantasmagorical, vibrant and colourful, unbridled yet never scruffy, frenzied and fun, electrifying and self-controlled, and have a gargantuan appetite for rhythms, sounds, and harmonies from around the world. They simultaneously embrace boisterous rock, Caribbean pop and off-kilter folk – it all goes into the magic mill of this astounding collective, who are gatherers rather than hoarders. Yalta, in French, sounds like "Halte à " (to hell with!)... So away with gloom and doom, narrow-mindedness, musical stinginess or threadbare harmonies. Welcome to the Club.

The lineup of this night has been carried out with RIF (Réseaux en Ile-de-France - www.lerif.org) which federates 8 French departmental music networks. Every year, the members of these networks support the development of many bands including The Sophia Lorenians or Fi/she/s. Besides, The Sophia Lorenians is part of the 2013 selection of Itinérances plan that promotes the development of bands expecially on Ile-de-France territory. As part of regional music funding policy, Île-de-France Region has increased the financial support allotted to RIF for Itinérances plan in 2011.
